The CASPAR Preservation User Community

The Community is a worldwide network of people and organisations who have a stake in the preservation of digital information and who share and support the CASPAR mission: creators of digital resources, curators, service providers, memory institutions, researchers, and users.

It is an open collaborative space to find partners and share knowledge, experiences, and resources on digital preservation and related issues.

Joining the CASPAR Community is possible by registering on this website or sending the letter of intent downloadable here (MSWord format, 231Kb).

As a Community member you will be kept up-to-date on project developments and relevant events, and may participate in programmes organised by CASPAR such as specific training modules.
Furthermore, you will have several communication and networking tools at your disposal: this website (where you may autonomously publish contents), the CASPAR Newsletter, and various printed and multimedia material.

The Community plays an essential role for the project by orienting and validating its results and securing that the CASPAR vision will continue beyond the formal end of the project.

Finally, Community members have preferential access to CASPAR digital preservation solutions.
