For a special issue on the Semantic Web and Data Warehousing, the editors welcome papers reporting original research relevant to topics at the confluence of data warehousing and the Semantic Web, such as - ontology-based design of dimension hierarchies, measure schemata, and ETL processes, - ontology-enabled data analysis using semantic query reformulation techniques, - ontology-driven guided user interfaces providing helpful explanation components, - ontology-based techniques for automated source integration, schema matching, and schema versioning, - industrial use cases and applications.

Openarchives.eu (http://www.openarchives.eu) is a new multimedia search engine that permits access to open source and free publications provided by universities, museums, libraries, archives and institutions all over the world. The new system was designed by Horizons Unlimited srl (Bologna), in collaboration with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Openarchives.eu indexes digital collections of every type (text documents, images, audio, video, animation, software, digitalized manuscripts, etc..) distributed by institutions that respect the protocol OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative.Protocol for Metadata Harvesting), the emerging standard in the digital library world.
